Corporate Controller

We are seeking a highly capable, detail-oriented, and strategic Corporate Controller to lead our global accounting operations and financial reporting functions. Reporting directly to the CFO, this key leadership role will oversee the integrity of financial statements, manage day-to-day accounting operations, and play a critical role in supporting our carve-out transition from Boeing systems to a standalone private equity-backed structure.

The Corporate Controller will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, maintaining robust internal controls, driving process improvements, and supporting budgeting, forecasting, and compliance initiatives. This role will serve as a strategic partner to executive leadership and will help shape the financial infrastructure of a high-growth SaaS/software business.

The ideal candidate brings deep technical accounting expertise, experience with carve-outs or M&A transactions, and a strong understanding of private equity operational expectations. Experience in the software or SaaS industry is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the global accounting, financial reporting, and control environment
• Manage all aspects of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes with a focus on accuracy, speed, and control
• Oversee the transition of financial systems, processes, and reporting structures from Boeing to a standalone private equity platform
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP, tax regulations, and private equity reporting standards
• Partner with the CFO, PE sponsors, external auditors, and third-party advisors to navigate the carve-out process
• Build and maintain a robust internal control environment appropriate for a PE-backed, growth-stage software business
• Manage consolidation, intercompany accounting, revenue recognition (SaaS), and technical accounting matters
• Drive complex business and systems integrations, ensuring alignment with financial processes and operational goals
• Lead and develop a high-performing accounting and reporting team
• Support financial due diligence, M&A integrations, and system implementations
• Drive continuous improvement in accounting operations, reporting timeliness, and process efficiency

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA designation (or equivalent) required
• 10+ years of progressive accounting and controllership experience
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP, with experience in SaaS revenue recognition and software business models
• Experience leading accounting functions in a private equity-backed business, carve-out, or M&A transaction environment
• Proven ability to manage financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance in a global, fast-paced company
• Strong leadership and people management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in a SaaS, subscription-based, or aviation technology business
• Prior experience in a Big 4 public accounting firm
• Experience with financial system transitions and ERP implementations
• Pilot or aviation enthusiast

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Summary Pay Range: $250-300k

This position is currently part of Boeing but is planned to transition to an independent company owned by Thoma Bravo, as part of a pending divestiture of the Digital Aviation Solutions organization. If you are selected for this role, your employment may initially be with Boeing (dependent on start date). Subject to final regulatory approvals and closing conditions, your employment may transfer to the divested business owned by Thoma Bravo at close.
