Employee Development Manager

The Boeing Company is looking for an Employee Development Manager to join our team in Everett, WA, Hazelwood, MO, Mesa, AZ, North Charleston, SC, or Renton, WA.

This manager will lead a group of learning program managers to analyze, design, develop and implement curriculum for manufacturing teams across the enterprise.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the Boeing value system by embodying the principles of integrity, quality, and safety in all training and development initiatives.
  • Prepare and present executive-level reports on training program effectiveness and recommendations for continuous improvement to leadership.
  • Promote employee recognition and build a departmental culture that enhances employee satisfaction and retains a skilled and motivated workforce.
  • Program Development: Lead the design and development of training programs that align with organizational goals and employee development needs.
  • Needs Assessment: Lead and conduct assessments to identify production training needs and gaps within the company.
  • Curriculum Design: Oversee the creation of engaging and effective learning materials, including a variety of modalities, workshops, and instructional guides.
  • Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of training programs, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with business leaders to ensure training programs meet the needs of the business unit/organization.
  • Evaluation and Reporting: Measure the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics; provide reports to stakeholders.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in learning and development.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience within the aviation or the airline industry
  • 3+ years leading projects and/or programs
  • 3+ years of experience in adult learning and development
  • 3+ years of experience leading teams in a formal and/or informal role
  • 3+ years of experience with Boeing systems

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in program management, instructional design, or training and development
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS)
  • Ability to lead collaboratively in a team environment driving continuous improvements
