Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Air Dominance is seeking a F-15 EPAWSS Program Quality Senior Manager in San Antonio, TX.

This Senior Quality Management position is a key member of the F-15 EPAWSS leadership team, and the Air Dominance Fighters Quality leadership team.  The role requires significant interface with government customer representatives to maintain a positive and collaborative relationship – this includes Defense Contractor Management Agency (DCMA) and United States Air Force F-15 Program Office.

This leader will have responsibility for first line managers and individual contributor employees performing inspection, quality engineering, and logs and records work scope – while holding programmatic Quality leadership responsibility for F-15 EPAWSS.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages quality team consisting of first-line managers & all quality personnel performing Quality engineering, inspection, flight operations, and technical activities for F-15 EPAWSS.
  • Develops Quality strategies and plans to support execution of program/business plans – and communicates these plans to successfully accomplish goals throughout the organization.  Ensures functional excellence for Quality across the program and extended into the supply chain.  Provides education and coaching on the Quality Management System.
  • Responsible and accountable for Quality leadership including overseeing program quality compliance plans and verification, resourcing and staffing, product acceptance, flight release activities, program quality performance, DCMA customer relations, and timely response to customer and internal corrective action requests.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, suppliers and direct reports.  Proactively communicates with all stakeholders.
  • Builds organizational culture that values open and honest communication and first-time quality – listening to employee concerns/suggestions and taking appropriate action.  Creates a culture of continuous improvement by communicating/deploying enterprise best practices and employee engagement to improve cost, quality, delivery, employee job satisfaction and customer satisfaction.
  • Works with other senior partners across organizational and functional boundaries to execute on programs, drive improvements and corrective actions, identify and mitigate areas of risk, and proactively work to increase first time quality.
  • Implements staffing and development plans to ensure necessary skills across the team.  Ensures proper job classification of employees, sets employee goals and objectives, manages and evaluates performance to plan on a reoccurring basis.
  • Monitors Program Quality financial metrics to support budgetary planning and determine appropriate corrective action.
  • Enforces company rules and policies regarding ethical behavior, safety, security, use of company property, time charging, etc.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An Interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing/production systems
  • 3+ years of experience implementing quality management systems
  • 2+ years of experience managing teams

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • Fighter aircraft experience
  • 3+ years of experience with aviation industry, manufacturing or maintenance, repair & overhaul (MRO)

Travel:

This position may require travel up to 10% of the time.
