About the team you are joining
You will report to the Senior Manager, Corporate Finance, Asia Pacific, based in
Singapore and join a vibrant corporate service team with diverse background and
interact with regional stakeholders, support accounts payables procure to pay (PTP) and compliance activities of Asia
Pacific region.
What your day would be like
- Support the accounts Payables team to perform financial
activities in accordance with IATA Finance policies and Standard Operating
Procedures (SOPs).;
- Support the accounts payable team in monthly financial closing, payment processing, indirect tax
filings, and statutory financial and tax audits support The audit support
activities includes providing supporting documentations relating to staff
claims, supplier payments and purchasing agreements;
- Responsible for indirect/ withholding tax payments;
- Responsible for updating the Finance working guides and
SOPs, if any gaps for alignment are identified;
- Proactive in solving operational issues related to banking
and procure to pay activities;
- Any ad hoc activity assigned by Senior Manager, Finance.
We would love to hear from you if
- You are a final/penultimate year undergraduate or a recent
graduate (within the last 12 months) with a university degree preferably in
Business, Accountancy or related discipline.
- Have a strong analytical mindset with excellent
problem-solving skills.
- Are an effective team player in a multicultural working
environment.
- Possess excellent computer skills, with a good working
knowledge with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in
English.
- Data analytics skills will be preferred (not a must-have).
IMPORTANT:
- For this internship, we are only accepting applications from
Singapore residents (Citizens and PRs) who are legally authorized to work in
Singapore without the need for a work pass or employer's sponsorship.
- This internship is a full-time commitment; the selected
candidate must be available on a full-time basis.
- The selected candidate is required to commit to a 7-month
period.
