Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a Manufacturing Manager (Level K) to support the Propulsion Systems Engine Buildup Team in Kent, WA.

This position will manage IAM team members performing engine build up operations while integrating activities across multiple disciplines within Propulsions System Division. The position requires development and execution of projects, and process plans using lean methodology. This person will assist others with setting individual and team goals for short- and long-term strategies. Most importantly, we are looking for someone to create a culture of continuous improvement for efficient and effective operations.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages employees performing activities in multiple manufacturing disciplines

  • Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies

  • Acquires resources, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports

  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes

  • Manages, develops and motivates employees

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Kent, WA.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience in leadership either formally or informally leading teams in a cross-functional environment

  • 1+ years of experience with continuous process improvement initiatives

  • 1+ years of experience leading, motivating and developing others

  • 1+ years of experience using all the following Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • 1+ years of experience mentoring, coaching, guiding and leading teams

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • 3+ years of experience in an Aerospace, Fabrication, or manufacturing environment
