About the Role


Tradewind Aviation is looking for a Full Time Director of Marketing to be based at our Middlebury, CT, location.  The Director of Marketing will oversee Tradewinds’s promotion and advertising efforts to drive sales and build brand awareness. Responsibilities include developing an overall marketing plan, approving campaigns, and measuring the return on investment of various advertising methods.  The ideal candidate is data-driven, customer-obsessed, and experienced in luxury, aviation, or travel sectors.


Responsibilities

  • Build, manage and coach a high performing marketing team. 
  • Manage marketing vendor projects and initiatives. 
  • Manage marketing budget and expenditures. 
  • Identify and plan differentiated and impactful marketing strategies/materials. 
  • Work closely with the sales department to align sales and marketing strategies 
  • Collaborate with executives to make high-level decisions regarding the budget and the direction of the company. 
  • Create and maintain a successful brand and image that attracts customers to Tradewind. 
  • Manage the CRM strategy, including segmentation, automation, and personalized marketing. 
  • Implement lifecycle campaigns to increase repeat bookings, upsell private charters, and improve loyalty. 

Develop marketing strategies for new products or services

  • Drive the implementation of marketing campaigns that meet business objectives and drive leads. 
  • Maintain brand standards and ensure compliance across all marketing and communications channels. 
  • Analyze ROI of marketing initiatives to determine which campaigns were most effective. 
  • Review current marketing trends and advertisements to determine the effectiveness of different strategies. 
  • Develop and execute a multi-channel marketing strategy that supports passenger growth, revenue targets, and brand equity. 
  • Partner with Sales, Revenue, and Customer Experience teams to align marketing campaigns with commercial priorities. 
  • Lead all digital campaigns including paid search, display, SEO, retargeting, and social advertising. 
  • Optimize the company website for performance, UX, and conversion. 
  • Analyze digital KPIs and adjust campaigns based on ROI and customer insights. 
  • Lead brand positioning and storytelling across all customer touchpoints. 
  • Research competitors to stay current with similar products or services on the market. 


 


 


Requirements

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in Marketing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. 
  • Experience in luxury travel, aviation, hospitality, or lifestyle brands preferred. 
  • Proven success in digital marketing, brand management, and demand generation. 
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with marketing automation, CRM (e.g., HubSpot or Salesforce), Google Analytics, and ad platforms. 
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or related field; MBA a plus.
