Our team is looking for an Operations Process Validation Manager to join them. You will report to the Director, PMO and will have an onsite work structure in Creedmoor, NC

To be considered for the Operations Process Validation Manager opening, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you: 

  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain and/or planning in a manufacturing / aerospace environment.
  • Proven experience of working directly with suppliers including negotiating pricing and lead time.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills of technical issues.
  • Effective and accurate use of MS Office applications and ERP systems.
  • Able to produce clear, concise and accurate written and verbal communications (in English) at all levels.
  • Confident in a fast moving and changing environment with the skill to prioritize tasks as the project or business demands.
  • Ability to travel globally for short periods during a transition.

As an Operations Process Validation Manager, you will: 

  • Provide management leadership and guidance to both the Supply Chain, Planning, and Operations members of the local PMO team, and work closely with all members of the wider PMO team, as applicable, to follow the PMO standard processes from project kick off through PV completion and handoff to production.
  • Work with all members of the Integrated Project Team identified by the local site to ensure all policies and procedures are adhered to within the applicable quality plan.
  • Attend and influence regular project review meetings with licensors, customers, and suppliers as required to assist the assigned Project Manager (PM) in developing the transfer plan for all Supply Chain activities including but not limited to Supplier Onboarding, PO Transfers, Inventory Management and initial demand Provisioning “SIOP” within the ERP system.
  • Attend and influence regular project review meetings with the licensor as required to assist the assigned Project Manager (PM) in developing the transfer plan for all manufacturing activities including but not limited Cell layouts and facilities and Operator training requirements.
  • Participate and oversee the inventory transfer (from licensor to Ontic), ensuring that transfers are prioritized to ensure that no line stoppages occur due to transfer.
  • Ensure that during the transfer, clear to build (CTB) plans are kept up to date, ensuring that any key deficiencies are clearly identified.
  • Support the supplier onboarding process and ensure the efficient onboarding of suppliers is completed within the project timeline.
  • Understand and ensure the novated purchase orders are placed and meet (where possible) the global Supply Chain metrics such as OTD / OTIF & PPV.
  • Oversee establishment of sources of supply for components requiring transition from vertically integrated processes to purchased complete, as well as those where the incumbent supply source is unavailable.
  • Participate and oversee negotiations with vendors to ensure the best possible price is paid by Ontic.
  • Lead the make / buy decision making process with site manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain stakeholders.
  • Ensure that technical support is allocated from both PMO and/or site technical resources early to resolve supplier quality issues.
  • Ensure project demand requirements and provision material to support setting up of the production line to support customer order book
  • Overall responsibility for ensuring facility readiness for the manufacturing Cell.
  • Work with the Project Manager, PMO Technical Team and the IPT to transfer and set up the manufacturing process to include equipment, tooling, TE, documentation, training, approvals, etc.
  • Own the preparation and execution of the Process Validation activity working with all parties to hand over to the local site.
  • Work closely with the PMO team and local site stakeholders to ensure effective departmental communication and direction is provided on the project status.
  • Execute strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize a varied workload to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrate early identification and resolution of supplier novation challenges and risks are documented.
  • Possess the ability to report and present to different levels of management and communicate project demand and process validation status both internally and externally with customers and vendors.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and work with relevant Ontic and/or supplier teams to implement effectively.
  • Work closely with the PMO team and local site stakeholders to ensure quality requirements are met for the smooth stand up of products and supporting contract novation’s – customer quality as well as product approvals
  • Support Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) activities to resolve supplier and internal technical problems.
  • Attend and provide input into the Lessons Learned process and ensure they are embedded into future transitions.
  • Ensure up to date, clear and concise metrics are kept throughout projects demonstrating progress through each process step.
  • Undertake such other duties commensurate with the role that may be required from time to time.

Salary Range: 

  • $110,000- $120,000/year, based on experience
