Position Summary:
Program Managers are the leaders of program success at Barber-Nichols (BN) across the product lifecycle, serving as the primary BN contact for customers and ensuring that the customer’s voice is clear within the organization. Program Managers leverage their excellent skills, flexible tools, and broad influence to drive program budget, scope, and schedule success. Program Managers also support the Sales and Engineering teams to shape programs and individual contracts
for success.

Qualifications:
To qualify for this position, an individual must possess the knowledge, training, experience and abilities required.
Education and Training
· Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant discipline, such as engineering, economics, or business; alternatively, additional relevant experience.
· Preferred: Program Management Professional (PMP), Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, or equivalent.
Experience:
· 6+ years of relevant experience, such as program management, project management, or leading projects in engineering or manufacturing.
· Preferred: Experience managing programs or projects in a high compliance manufacturing environment, such as medical, aerospace, space, defense, or similar.
· Preferred: Experience managing customer relationships.
· Preferred: Experience in a rapid engineering development environment.
· Preferred: Experience identifying and driving improvements, such as Green or Black Belt projects.
· Preferred: Knowledge of government contracting requirements and regulations (DFARS, ITAR, etc.).
· Preferred: Experience with program and project management systems and tools.
Other:
· Must be willing to work overtime as required.
· Travel up to 20% of working time.

ITAR Requirements: To conform to U.S. Government commercial space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a)(3), applicants for employment at Barber-Nichols must be a U.S. citizen or national, lawfully admitted for permanent residence into the U.S. (i.e., current green card holder), or lawfully admitted as a refugee or granted asylum under 8 U.S.C. § 1157-1158. Compensation and Benefits:
The salary range for this role is $90,000 - $130,000. This range represent the anticipated minimum and maximum base + bonus for this position based upon a good faith and reasonable estimate. The final compensation for this position will be set based on the applicant’s qualifications (education, training and/or experience related to this role), and therefore, may fall outside the range shown, depending on the circumstances.
