What You Will Do

  • Lead Quality Excellence
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive quality assurance strategy that aligns with company goals and customer expectations.
    • Mentor and guide a talented team of quality professionals, fostering a culture built on collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
    • Maintain and enhance our ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 quality systems to ensure compliance and best-in-class performance.
  • Drive Product & Process Quality
    • Oversee product inspections, testing, and validation to ensure compliance with specifications.
    • Analyze performance data to identify trends, eliminate root causes of defects, and implement sustainable improvements.
    • Partner with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues and strengthen processes.
  • Champion Customer & Supplier Quality
    • Manage customer feedback and complaints, ensuring timely investigation and resolution.
    • Conduct supplier audits and assessments to verify compliance with quality standards.
    • Coordinate corrective and preventive action (CA/PA) initiatives to maintain customer satisfaction and drive continuous improvement.
  • Oversee Quality Operations
    • Lead quality operations at our Fort Valley facility, ensuring the department runs efficiently and effectively.
    • Supervise and develop QC personnel while optimizing resources to meet production and customer demands.
    • Support budgeting, reporting, and capacity planning to enhance overall operational excellence.

What You Bring

  • Education & Experience
    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field (advanced certifications a plus).
    • Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Manager or senior quality leader in a manufacturing or automotive environment.
  • Technical Expertise
    • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and quality management systems.
    • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement tools.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel; comfort working with data and reports.
  • Leadership & Communication
    • A strategic thinker with excellent leadership, mentoring, and communication skills.
    • Skilled in problem-solving, data-driven decision-making, and cross-functional collaboration.
    • Travel: Up to 15% for supplier visits, divisional support, and customer engagements.
