Salary Range: $100,000-$120,000

Our offices are based in the heart of the Loop in downtown Chicago, but we are pleased to note that our Chicago office is operating on a hybrid work model (mix of in-office and remote work). 

Position Summary:

The Parking Spot is looking for an experienced Regional People Operations Manager to join our team in Chicago! The Regional People Operations Manager role at TPS is a high impact role, managing and mentoring an HR Business Partner whose goal is to support a large frontline workforce spread out amongst several locations throughout the United States. Working from the corporate office, the Regional People Operations Manager partners with the HR Business Partner to provide Field Managers with support and strategy in the areas of employee relations, training, employee engagement, recruitment and retention strategies, and general compliance. This position will require monthly market visits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage HR Business Partner in their partnership with field management teams in providing guidance and direction on the overall effectiveness of the HR function at all TPS field locations
  • Travel regularly and remotely lead the overall effectiveness of the partnership between the HR and Operations departments, maintaining ongoing relationships with both Field Management and Field frontline employees
  • Leverage data analytics to drive solutions and decisions that translate into actionable plans to impact the bottom line and enable people strategy, such as workforce planning insights, leadership development, wage and hour, and engagement
  • Advise business leaders and HR Business Partner on complex employee relation issues, investigations, and facilitate all aspects of employee terminations
  • Spearhead change management initiatives with agility, creativity, and high enthusiasm (e.g., merger and acquisitions, HRIS upgrades, DOT/labor/employment compliance requirements, and other company growth projects)
  • Partner with VP of People Operations to recommend, research and implement new approaches, policies, procedures and tools with a focus on scale and on departmental strategy matters
  • Lead training and development programs including TPSU, LinkedIn Learning, frontline employee training, and other peer-to-peer training programs
  • Advise Field Management on all areas of compliance including internal policy as well as federal, state and local laws as they relate to the HR function
  • Design and execute rapid response plans for understaffed locations or critical role vacancies and support the success of Field recruiting efforts under the direction of the Talent Acquisition Director
  • Maintain accurate HR records and data within the HRIS system and ensure adherence to established system workflows
  • Support event planning and onsite logistics for the Company’s Market of the Year, Culture Week, new location Grand Openings, Annual Leadership Summit, and other milestone events

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:

  • 6+ years of HR experience working with a large multi-state, frontline employee workforce in service-related industry
  • PHR or SHRM certification preferred
  • Ability to travel monthly and on an as-needed basis for market visits
  • Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize, and adapt to competing priorities in ever-changing conditions
  • Possess strong interpersonal/people skills with a passion for HR
  • Ability to manage conflict and maintain positive working relationships with people at all levels of an organization (both inside and outside the company)
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proficient in HR systems and an HRIS; experience using UKG, preferred
  • Experience working with Union organizations, preferred
