Lamar's HR department is now hiring a Temporary HR Coordinator to conduct a thorough audit of I-9 files to ensure compliance with federal regulations and company policies. This is a temporary position at $15/hour. The work schedule can be part-time or full-time depending on the candidate's preferences, but will not fall below 20 hours a week.

Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Requirements

  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing documents and records.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • 0-3 years of experience doing data entry or auditing

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Perform an audit of I-9 forms to verify compliance with federal employment eligibility verification requirements.
  • Detect and document any discrepancies, errors, or expirations in I-9 forms and work with HR staff to correct them promptly.
  • Ensure that all I-9 forms are accurately completed, filed, and stored in accordance with legal requirements and company policies.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • The primary work environment is an office.
  • The physical demands for this position include light lifting, seeing (with a focus on reading), sitting more than 50% of the time, talking, and walking.
  • Nights spent traveling, away from home, are less than 10%
