Job Description

  1. Overview and Objectives of the Position:

The Training Manager oversees all aspects of the Airline Transport Pilot Certification Training Program (ATP/CTP) to ensure safe, compliant, and profitable delivery. This role blends operational leadership with business development, managing daily scheduling, regulatory compliance, and financial performance. As the central point of contact for students, instructors, vendors, and FAA representatives, the Training Operations Manager drives program excellence, market growth, and client satisfaction.

  1. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Operational Oversight

  • Direct daily ATP/CTP operations, ensuring efficient, safe, and compliant training delivery.
  • Develop and publish training schedules, balancing simulator capacity, instructor assignments, and student demand.
  • Monitor student progress in the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring timely completion and certification issuance.
  • Anticipate and resolve operational disruptions with real-time contingency planning, including weekends and evenings.
  • Manage simulator and classroom utilization and leasing to maximize profitability.
  • Maintain and update SOPs to align with regulatory standards and best practices.
  • In the monitor student progress/ add the in compliance with PMP.
  • SME oversight for ground instruction.

Regulatory Compliance

  • Serve as the primary liaison with the FAA and other regulators.
  • Ensure compliance with FAA requirements through proactive audits, meticulous record-keeping, and documentation management.
  • Oversee instructor credentialing, prerequisites, and regulatory documentation.

Financial Management

  • Monitor program revenues and expenses, reconciling invoices, payroll, and simulator usage.
  • Prepare financial and operational reports for senior leadership.
  • Identify opportunities to improve profitability through cost control and efficient resource allocation.

Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Provide leadership and direction to instructors in collaboration with the Lead Instructor.
  • Act as the central point of contact for students, instructors, vendors, and partner airlines.
  • Foster a culture of instructional quality, safety, and customer excellence.
  • Drive continuous improvements in training operations, scalability, and client satisfaction.

Business Development

  • Lead both B2B and B2C sales initiatives to increase enrolments and market share.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team on promotions and outreach strategies.
  • Analyze competitor pricing and recommend course adjustments.
  • Identify, plan, and execute the launch of new satellite training centers.

Qualifications

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • FAA ATP or relevant certification preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum 5–7 years in aviation training, flight school operations, or simulator management.
  • Strong background in scheduling, resource management, and FAA regulatory compliance.
  • Proven leadership experience managing teams in a training or aviation environment.

Skills

  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt quickly.
  • Strong financial acumen with budgeting, forecasting, and reporting experience.
  • High level of communication and interpersonal skills, able to interact with regulators, airline partners, and students.
  • Proficiency in LMS systems, scheduling software, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Additional Information

Must be able to present authorization to work in the United States.

  • Salary Range: 60,000 annually
