This isn’t your typical working student role in Finance. Yes, you’ll be involved in essential operational tasks like invoicing, billing, and expense preparation, but the real magic lies in how you’ll help us improve and automate these processes. You’ll work closely with the Finance team and other stakeholders across the company to identify inefficiencies, implement smarter workflows, and contribute to building a Finance function that’s ready to scale.

As a Working Student in our Finance team, you’ll have the unique opportunity to combine hands-on operational work with impactful process improvement. Here’s what your role will look like:

• Streamline financial operations: You’ll support critical tasks like managing invoices, handling adjustments, preparing expenses, and administering subscriptions. These are the foundations of our Finance team, and you’ll play a key role in keeping things running smoothly. But it doesn’t stop there, you’ll also help identify inefficiencies and explore ways to automate and improve these workflows.

• Drive automation and efficiency: We’re all about working smarter, not harder. You’ll collaborate with the team to reduce manual work, implement automation tools, and build scalable processes that set us up for the future.

• Collaborate across teams: You’ll work closely with stakeholders from Sales, Product, and other teams to ensure financial processes are aligned with company goals and customer needs. This is your chance to understand how different parts of the business connect and contribute to our growth.

• Solve real-world challenges: Whether it’s managing a customer’s billing request, tackling a tricky invoice adjustment, or creating training materials for the Sales team, your work will have a direct impact on our customers and internal teams.

• Shape the future of finance at cargo.one: This isn’t just about ticking boxes, it’s about helping the Finance team mature and scale as we grow. Your ideas and contributions will help us build a smarter, more efficient Finance function.

• You’re currently enrolled in a university program (Finance, Accounting, Business, or similar).

• You’re detail-oriented and proactive, with a passion for finding better ways to do things.

• You’re tech-savvy and excited about using tools or automation to simplify workflows (bonus points if you’ve worked with Excel, Google Sheets, or basic scripting).

• You enjoy collaborating with others and can communicate effectively across teams.

• You thrive in an environment where ownership and accountability are key.

• You are based in Germany
